Reviews and Ratings
Staying at this hotel was like stepping back in time to the design of the 1960s. The dinners served were top-notch with delicious grilled reindeer and trout, but more fresh fruit could be added. The service was outstanding, with friendly, accommodating, and attentive staff. The location was a dream come true, situated on top of a cliff amidst varying landscapes, including waterfalls, mountains, and fjord views only a short drive away. The dining experience offered a buffet-style meal with good variety but could have had more options. It's worth noting that the hotel has landmark status, so improvements are limited. Overall, a unique experience with some room for improvement in certain areas.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were quite simple and lacked a television, but the service was exceptional. The location was stunning, offering easy access to various scenic landscapes. The dining options were somewhat limited, although the facilities were satisfactory overall.
Staying at the hotel was a mixed experience. While the rooms at the front of the hotel felt dated, the breakfast buffet was minimal compared to most European breakfast buffets. However, the service was fantastic, going beyond my expectations by graciously holding our dinner leftovers for us. The location, though awkward at times with ongoing construction, offered amazing views over the valley, next to the stunning Voringfossen fall.
